1/5

'Batla House'

Set in the immediate aftermath of a Delhi serial bombing, 'Batla House' tells the story of a controversial police encounter that became a media and political flashpoint. John Abraham plays DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, loosely based on the real-life officer. The film delves into the emotional, psychological, and social turmoil that followed, bringing the complex truth to light.

2/5

'Bell Bottom'

Inspired by true events, this spy thriller focuses on the Indian government's efforts to rescue hostages from a hijacked Indian Airlines flight — one of the many hijackings that occurred in the early '80s. Akshay Kumar plays a RAW agent tasked with executing a covert mission in foreign territory. While dramatized, the film salutes India’s early counter-terror efforts.

3/5

'Hotel Mumbai'

Though an international production, this gripping thriller recreates the events inside the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel during the Mumbai attacks. It pays tribute to the staff who risked their lives to protect guests. Anupam Kher plays a fictional version of the real-life head chef Hemant Oberoi. The narrative doesn’t sensationalize; instead, it spotlights humanity amidst chaos.

4/5

'The Attacks of 26/11'

This dramatization of the November 2008 attacks across Mumbai, especially the siege of CST station and Taj Hotel, brings to life the horror of that night. Nana Patekar plays the role of Joint Commissioner Rakesh Maria, delivering a powerful monologue on national trauma. The chilling portrayal of terrorist Ajmal Kasab by Sanjeev Jaiswal adds a disturbing layer of realism. It’s a hard-hitting, no-frills take on one of India’s darkest nights.

5/5

'Uri: The Surgical Strike'

A massive box-office hit, 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' recreates the Indian Army’s precise and daring retaliation to the brutal terror attack on the army base in Jammu & Kashmir. The film is patriotic, thrilling, and emotionally charged. Vicky Kaushal’s performance won acclaim, especially for the now-iconic dialogue: “How’s the josh?”
