Here's how Shilpa Shetty dealt with Raj Kundra’s two-month arrest in pornography case
Shilpa Shetty may have not come out in the open to speak up about businessman-husband Raj Kundra's arrest and consequent imprisonment in pornography case but she has been speaking her mind through cryptic posts on social media. Even as Raj was released from the jail on bail and a surety of Rs 50,000 today, the actress continued to put her thoughts out for her fans to interpret. Here's all that she has had to say in the span of two months for which Raj was imprisoned...
Official statement
In the wake of Raj’a arrest for his alleged involvement in pornography case, Shilpa was being trolled on the web. To put an end to wagging tongues, Shilpa took to social media to write, “Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family. MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf.” She continued, “Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain”. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary.” She further added, “As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you - especially as a MOTHER - to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same”.

Eye of the storm
While Raj was away, the actress often shared motivational quotes about manifesting positive vibes alongside her workout videos. One such post read, “Don’t use your energy to worry. Use your energy to believe, create, trust, grow, manifest and heal”. In another one, she wrote, “It is so important to start your day with the right frame of mind. Honestly, for me, nothing works better than Yoga when I need to delve into a day or week full of activities with a clear head and a rather high level of energy. The Eka pada Vasisthasana, or the one-legged side plank, works very well to help improve balance, concentration, and focus. It also helps strengthen and improve flexibility in wrist; while strengthening the forearms, shoulders, and spine. It also works on strengthening & toning the obliques, and stabilising the core. This routine helps me start off my day on an energetic note. Share it with someone who you think needs it”.
Bad decisions and new endings
Even as Raj’s legal battle raged on, Shilpa shared an excerpt that talked about ‘bad decisions’ and ‘brand new endings’ in life. Sharing a glimpse of her current read, she highlighted writer Carl Bard’s quote that read, “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending. We can spend a lot of time analyzing the bad decisions we've made, the mistakes we've made, the friends we've hurt. If only we'd been smart-er, more patient, or just nicer. We can't change the past, no matter how much we analyze it".
The aftermath
A few minutes after Raj was granted bail, Shilpa took to her social media to share, "Beautiful things can happen after a bad storm." Taking to her Instagram story, Shilpa shared a quote that read, "Rainbows exist to prove that beautiful things can happen after a bad storm”.

Rising from the ashes
After Raj was papped returning home with teary eyes, Shilpa shared her thoughts with a popular quote from the Chinese philosopher Confucius that went, "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall". She captioned the picture as: "There are always going to be moments that push you to the ground. In times like these, I truly believe that if you fall seven times, make yourself strong enough to be able to stand back up eight times. This rise will demand a lot of courage, grit, will-power, and strength during some of your most difficult moments. But, these qualities will only make you more resilient and robust in this journey called life. Every time that you rise back up, you will come back with renewed determination and motivation to make even the impossible possible”.
