Koi... Mil Gaya

Directed by Rakesh Roshan, this 2003 Indian Science fiction movie stars Hrithik Roshan as Rohit, a developmentally disabled young man who encounters an alien. Preity Zinta plays the female lead, with the film exploring themes of friendship, acceptance, and the wonder of the unknown. It was a major commercial and critical success, and spawned a superhero franchise with Krrish.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK is a 2014 Indian satirical comedy-drama film starring Aamir Khan as the main lead. Aamir, plays an alien who arrives on Earth and questions religious dogmas and superstitions. The film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Boman Irani. Despite generating significant controversies due to its critiques of religious practices, the film was a massive commercial success and is spoken about even today.

This Indian Hindi-language science fiction comedy film was directed by Shirish Kunder in 2012. It stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the leading roles. The film revolves around a NASA scientist who returns to his village and creates a hoax involving aliens to bring attention to the village's plight. It was unable to make it big in theatres, but is still considered a movie that was unique and different from usual.

This older film can be considered a pioneer for science fiction films in India. Directed by T.P. Sundaram, the film features Dara Singh and Helen, and is based on space travel. It features Dara Singh as the lead, portraying an astronaut who journeys to the moon and encounters extraterrestrial life. This early attempt at space exploration within Indian cinema showcases imaginative special effects and futuristic concepts for its time. This film holds historical significance as one of the first Indian films to explore the theme of space travel.

Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai

Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (2010) is a Bollywood romantic comedy science fiction film directed by Milap Zaveri.
