Ahmad Shah Abdali in 'Panipat'

Sanjay Dutt played a villainous role in Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Panipat'. In the film, he wore a heavy fur coat and multiple rings and Afghani headwear to get into the character. He essayed the role of Ahmad Shah Abdali, the king of Afghanistan. It was the first time that the actor was playing a part in a historical period drama. His craft and skill as an actor were there for everyone to witness.

Kancha Cheena in 'Agneepath'

This character changed the way Sanjay Dutt was seen as an actor in the industry. Agneepath's remade version starring Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra featured Sanjay as the villain. Sanjay went completely bald for his role and even got his ear pierced. His look made him an iconic villain.

Raghu in 'Vaastav: The Reality'

Sanjay Dutt's performance in 'Vaastav' is still seen as one of the actor's all-time best performances. His character not only became iconic but also his dialogues from the film are still very popular. In this film, he donned a kurta-pyjama, and his forehead was anointed with a red tika. Of course who can forget the '50 tola' gold chain.
