'Family was pressurising me to marry my aunty,' says Aamir Khan's brother Faissal Khan: 'Meri mummy ko gussa aa gaya tha ki maine unki cousin se shadi nai ki'

Aamir Khan's brother Faissal Khan has made some really bold statements about the actor and their family. The duo had worked together in 'Mela' and Faisal had been away from the public eye for many years now. Faisal disclosed recently that Aamir and his family told everyone that he has gone mad and had also kept him locked in his house. He has now issued a public statement and held a press conference on Monday to announce that he has cut ties with Aamir and his family.

His statement read, "With a heavy heart yet renewed courage, I wish to share that I have severed all family ties, as declared through a public notice. This step, though difficult, is essential for my healing and growth. Life now enters a new chapter of freedom, dignity, and self-discovery one that I embrace with positivity, truth, and strength." During the press conference, he revealed what exactly happened which led to his rift with his family.


He said, "My family was pressurising me that main meri aunty se shadi karu. Meri shadi hui thi 2002 mein ek ladki ke saath. January mein mila tha, August mein shadi hui aur December 2022 mein divorce hua. Tab se mera family mujhpe pressurise kar raha tha ke main meri aunty se shadi karu. Meri mother ki first cousin. I never wanted that toh un logon ne uss waqt se mujhpar pressure daalna shuru kiya. Aur woh pressure daalna shuru kiya, shadi karlo. Main kaam mein lagaa tha aur bilkul interested nahi tha. Usko leke family ke saath bohot anban ho chuki thi. Toh main family se door rehne lagaa tha aur unse alag rehne laga tha kyunki agar unse milta toh iss baat pe jhagda hota aur mujhe jhagda bilkul pasand nahi hai. Toh family ko gussa aa gaya, meri mother ko gussa aa gaya ki meri aunty se main shadi nahi kar raha hu. (My family was pressuring me to marry my aunt. I got married in 2002 to a girl. I met her in January, we got married in August, and in December 2022 we got divorced. Since then, my family has been pressuring me to marry my aunt — my mother’s first cousin. I never wanted that, but from that time they started putting pressure on me to get married. I was focused on my work and not interested at all. Because of this, I had many arguments with my family. So I started living away from them, because whenever I met them, there would be fights about this, and I really don’t like fighting. My family got angry, and my mother got angry, because I refused to marry my aunt)."

He further added, "Jab family se naaraaz hua tha maine ek letter likha tha. Maine har family member ki story likhi. Nikhat meri elder sister ki teen baar shadi hui. Phir Aamir ne Reena ke saath shadi ki, divorce hua. Uske baad, he was having an affair with Jessica Hines, unka ek illegal baccha bhi hai out of wedlock. He was living in with Kiran that time. I wrote in the letter so they were angry with me. So they all were against me and said, 'isko pagal ghoshit kardo'(When I got upset with my family, I wrote a letter. I wrote about every family member’s story. Nikhat, my elder sister, got married three times. Aamir was married to Reena Dutta. He was having an affair with Jessica Hines, and they even have an illegitimate child out of wedlock. At that time, he was living in with Kiran. I wrote all this in the letter, so they became angry with me. Then everyone turned against me and said, ‘Declare him mad.’.
