About the prayer meet
The prayer meeting is being held four days after a private funeral was held for the actor on Monday. Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89, leaving the film industry and his fans in mourning. His last rites took place on November 24, attended by close family members and select industry colleagues, including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salim Khan, Shabana Azmi, Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
SRK, Salman rush to be by Deol family's side
Besides attending his funeral, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan had rushed to the hospital earlier this month when reports emerged that Dharmendra’s health had allegedly taken a turn for the worse after being admitted for a routine check-up. Although the veteran actor was discharged after a few days and sent home to recuperate under medical supervision, news reports had indicated that he was recovering. However, on Monday, the industry and his fans were shocked when news of his demise surfaced online.
Fondly remembered as the He-Man of Bollywood, Dharmendra enjoyed a remarkable career spanning over six decades.
