Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case investigation led to the Narcotics Drugs Bureau getting involved, eventually leading to Bollywood actresses being called in for questioning. Rakul Preet Singh was grilled for hours by the NCB on September 25, while on September 26 – Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were called in for questioning. The NCB also arrested Kshitij Prasad, former executive associated with Dharmatic Entertainment, which is owned by Karan Johar. Deepika Padukone accepted the alleged 'drug chats'

During her interrogation by the Narcotics Control Bureau, Deepika Padukone reportedly accepted the alleged ‘drug chats’ with her manager Karishma Prakash. According to Times Now, Deepika and her manager Karishma Prakash were being interrogated together and the duo admitted to their 2017 WhatsApp chats which had mentions of narcotics substance. Deepika was questioned for nearly five hours by the NCB.

Was Kshitij Prasad forced to name Karan Johar in his statement?

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Kshitij Prasad on September 26, he was briefly associated with Dharmatic Entertainment - the digital arm of Dharma Productions, which is owned by Karan Johar. Kshitij Prasad’s lawyer Satish Manshinde has reportedly alleged that the former employee of Dharmatic Entertainment was forced to make a statement that would implicate Karan Johar. According to Times Now, the NCB has denied these allegations, stating that they are managing the probe professionally.

Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Raul Preet Singh denied taking drugs

Soon after Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor were questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), it was reported that all the actresses had denied consuming narcotics substance. An NCB official had revealed to Times of India, “They said they don’t even smoke cigarettes.”

Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh's mobile phones seized by NCB

During the questioning, the Narcotics Control Bureau also seized the mobile phones of Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh for technical analysis. The actresses reportedly surrendered voluntarily. “The phones of Deepika, Karishma, Rakul and Khambatta have been seized by the NCB under the Indian Evidence Act," an NCB source had informed IANS. Sara Ali Khan's mobile phone was also reportedly seized by the investigating agency.
