Currently, I am in a happy relationship with a lovely person: Minissha Lamba
Actress Minissha Lamba, who made her Bollywood debut with Yahaan (2005) and is known for films like Bachna Ae Haseeno (2007), Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007) and Well Done Abba (2010), recently opened up about her divorce from her husband, restaurateur Ryan Tham. The duo got married in 2015 in an intimate ceremony after dating for two years. Minissha announced their separation last year and they have parted ways amicably. Talking about the same, Minissha says, “Often, two people are better off not living together and there’s no one who did wrong or is to be blamed in those circumstances. Some things are too private to talk about as it would be disrespectful to the other individual.”
‘I had a robust support system in my close friends and family’
She further adds, “However, I would like to emphasise that the end of a relationship or marriage is not the end of life. You will have another chance to love, be loved, and will be able to brush the past aside. The only reason I’m now talking about it is to help people stuck in similar situations and to show that things will get better.” When asked about her support system and people who stood by her during this difficult situation, she says, “I had a very robust support system in my close friends and family and I feel blessed about that.” So is she open to the idea of finding love again? “Yes. Currently, I’m in a happy relationship with a lovely person,” says the actress.
‘I keep getting offers for TV’
Minissha, who has been away from the silver screen for some time now, is currently busy with an OTT project. In the past, she had participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 8 (2014) and made her TV debut with a cameo in the show Tenali Rama (2018). Talking about the transition from Bollywood to the small screen, Minissha says, “TV has always been a medium that I wanted to explore and when I got an opportunity, I took it up. I keep getting offers for television and if I come across something interesting, I will certainly take it up. As for reality shows, it would be fun to be a part of dance reality shows or something like Khatron Ke Khiladi.”
