‘Cirkus’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Kick 2’: Jacqueline Fernandez has her kitty full of films in 2021

Jacqueline Fernandez has started 2021 on a busy note. The actress has some very interesting films in the pipeline and has been shooting back-to-back. From collaborating with Rohit Shetty for the first time for ‘Cirkus’ to starring opposite Salman Khan once again for the much-awaited sequel of ‘Kick’, here’s what Jacqueline has in store for her fans this year.

Jacqueline Fernandez will be reuniting with John Abraham for their upcoming film, ‘Attack’. The movie also stars Rakul Preet Singh in a pivotal role. Jacqueline and John had earlier worked together in ‘Dishoom’, also co-starring Varun Dhawan.

Written and directed by debutante Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack is a race-against-time story of rescue by an ‘Attack’ team led by a lone ranger, played by John. The film is said to be inspired by true events, set against a hostage crisis in a country. It is slated to hit the theatres on August 13, 2021.

On her birthday last year, the makers of Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick’ announced the much-awaited sequel of ‘Kick’. Taking to their official Twitter handle, they wrote, ‘Written and directed by debutante Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack is a race-against-time story of rescue by an ‘Attack’ team led by a lone ranger, played by John. The film is said to be inspired by true events, set against a hostage crisis in a country.’

‘Kick’ was an action film in which Salman played a masked thief called Devi Lal Singh (Devil), who is always looking for a ‘kick’ in his life. It also starred Randeep Hooda in a key role.

Jacqueline Fernandez will be collaborating with Rohit Shetty for the first time for her upcoming film, ‘Cirkus’. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma in lead roles.

Talking about working with Rohit, Jacqueline told IANS, “It's not easy making films that entertain, make you laugh and feel good. And Rohit Shetty is perhaps the first that comes to mind when you think of entertaining and commercial cinema.

Jacqueline Fernandez is also a part of an upcoming ghostbuster movie titled, ‘Bhoot Police’. The film will also star Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Yami Gautam in lead roles. While Jacqueline has worked with Saif in ‘Race 2’, this will be the first time she will be seen sharing screen space with Arjun and Yami.

The film will have Arjun and Saif playing the ghostbusters. Jacqueline reportedly defined her character as “super sexy and glam”.

Last but not the least, Jacqueline is also a part of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’. The movie also stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster and Kriti Sanon in the role of a journalist. It also features Arshad Warsi who essays the role of Akshay’s friend in the film.

This is not the first time that Jacqueline and Akshay have worked together. They have earlier starred in movies like ‘Housefull’ series and ‘Brothers’.
