Nothing spells 'forever' quite like a tattoo, right? Just ask these celebs who went through the pain of getting their love inked on their skin. Sadly, in an industry where things fall apart every now and then, these celebrities went through double the trouble to either paint over their proclamations of love or erase it altogether. Take a look at stars who clearly regretted getting their lovers' names tattooed.

We were all taken aback when we saw photos of Amy Jackson's not so subtle forearm tattoo for her then-boyfriend Prateik Babbar. The huge tattoo read, 'Mera Pyaar Mera Prateik’, and even featured a dove, flowers and other cliches. You can imagine the pain and trouble she went through to get the whole thing erased after they called off their romance and moved on.

While Amy got every trace of her tattoo removed, Prateik Babbar went the other way and got his coloured. The hunk, who loves getting inked every now and then, covered up the stars, dove and the ‘Mera Pyaar Meri Amy’ tattoo on his arm with a skull.

Comedian Pete Davidson left fans chuckling when he converted his tattoo for ex-fiancee Ariana Grande into a heart. When head-over-heels in love with the beauty, Pete had got Ariana's trademark bunny ears tattooed on his neck. However, when things went south for the two, it was impossible to miss the big black heart he got to cover up what lay beneath.

Remember when Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan got matching star tattoos as the ultimate declaration of their love? As dreamy as it may have seemed then, it became a sort of nightmare when their marriage crumbled. Sussanne, however, got her star modified and added the words ‘follow your sunshine' to it.

Long before Angelina Jolie was considered Hollywood royalty, she had a wild past. Besides wearing a vial of Billy Bob Theron's blood, the actress had even got his name tattooed on her arm with a dragon inscribed below it. Kaley Cuoco's romance with Ryan Sweeting blossomed very fast and faded away just as quickly. The same couldn't be said about the tattoo she got to commemorate her marriage. Once her divorce was finalised, Kaley decided to go for the classic cover-up by getting a large moth/butterfly on her back. “The deep, meaningful, larger-than-life meaning behind this beautiful piece of ink, is..... It covered the last one,” she quipped in her Instagram post.
