There are some who make grand announcements about their impending nuptials, while others like to keep their weddings hush-hush. Recently, Aftab Shivadasani got married to his long-time girlfriend Nin Dusanj. But the young couple preferred to keep the news of their wedding under wraps until the cat was out of the bag. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by both their families, saving the big celebration for later this year when they will invite friends from India and abroad.Here is a look at some of the celebrity marriages that were kept a secret for some time.
BOLLYWOODRani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra (2014) After playing hide and seek with the media for years, Rani Mukerji and her long-time beau, Aditya Chopra, tied the knot in April. Their PR machinery sent out a mass email the next day informing the media about the wedding. The couple, who never officially confirmed their relationship, got married in Italy in a Bengali-style wedding, just the way Rani wanted.

John Abraham and Priya Runchal (2013) While speculation was rife about John tying the knot with his girlfriend Priya Runchal for a long time, confirmation of the news came in the form of a tweet when John posted said, “Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham.”
Celina Jaitley and Peter Haag (2011) When the news of Celina’s wedding became public, many were surprised as, prior to that, there was no news of Celina even dating Peter. The duo got married at a monastery in Austria, where Peter is from. The actress later gave birth to twins, fueling speculation about pregnancy being the reason behind a rushed wedding.

While the wedding was scheduled to be on a later date, it is said that due to immense pressure from his fans, Ganesh had a quick and quiet ceremony earlier at a temple with Shilpa.
