Brahmastra, Kantara, Ponniyin Selvan I: Movies releasing on OTT this month

With the advent of OTT space, many of us eagerly look forward to a movie completing its theatrical run and be available on a digital streaming platform, where we can watch the movie in peace, perched comfortably on our couch with a bucketful of home made popcorn. So, here is a list of OTT movies releasing this month - thank us later for sorting out your weekends!

This masterpiece historical drama based on the eponymous novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, amassed huge popularity when it was released in September this year. The Mani Ratnam flick boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala amongst others. The film, based in 10th Century Thanjavur is now streaming on Prime Video.

After setting the box office on fire, this fantasy drama is now available on Disney+ Hotstar. The Ayan Mukerji directed magnum opus that finally ended Bollywood's dry run and sent the cash registers ringing stars real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Look out for a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna and catch Mouni Roy in a brilliant, dark avatar. The second part of the movie is expected to go on floors next year.

Akkineni Nagarjuna's Telugu film The Ghost is now available on Netflix. The action movie is the story of an an ex-Interpol officer who resurfaces after many years to protect his family. Along with Nagarjuna, the film stars Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Shrikanth Iyengar and Bilal Hossein, amongst others.

This Netflix original film that releases next week stars Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte in lead roles along with Sikandar Kher and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. This noir satirical comedy drama is about a young man desperate to make it big with nefarious activities and some unlikely allies. The film has been creating a lot of buzz prior to the release in the OTT space.

Apart from these, other movies that are expected to release on OTT this month are Rishab Shetty's mega blockbuster Kantara, Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol's Chup: Revenge of the Artist and Code Name: Tiranga, an espionage drama starring Parineeti Chopra, Harrdy Sandhu and Sharad Kelkar.
