Beyond 'Chennai Express', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and others; here are FIVE must-watch underrated films of Shah Rukh Khan

With a noteworthy career spanning over decades, a Delhi lad who came to Bombay with many dreams of making it big in the fascinating industry of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has not only carved a niche for himself in Bollywood but created a whole new universe of his own.

Shah Rukh's career graph may show several ups and downs but the talented actor has always managed to bounce back and impress the audience with his charm and elegance.

We all may know about SRK's blockbuster films and his quintessential pose which can make anyone go weak in the knees, we decided to give a glimpse of his underrated films on his 54th birthday which are a must-watch for all. These are films which failed to allure the audience to the theatres in spite of a good script and stunning performance by King Khan himself.

Swades

This Ashutosh Gowariker 2004 directorial which is based on the life story of an NRI, failed to impress the audience despite Shah Rukh's spectacular performance. Not only did he manage to express his emotions with sheer brilliance but the music of the film was also bang-on giving us a rustic-yet-modern vibe. Gayatri Joshi, who featured opposite SRK in the film too managed to bring her A-game on display in the film.

3/6

Paheli

Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan came together once again for Amol Palekar's fantasy film 'Paheli' but failed to allure the audience to the theatres. 'Paheli' was a remake of 1973 Hindi movie 'Duvidha' by Mani Kaul and Rani-SRK's performance is sure to melt your hearts. Most importantly, the film is a must-watch for all die-hard SRK fans.

4/6

Josh

Shah Rukh Khan joined hands with Aishwarya Rai and Chandrachur Singh to entertain the audience in Mansoor Khan's 2000 film 'Josh'. While SRK played Aishwarya's brother in the film, he managed to grab all the limelight with his stunning performance as Max Dias aka Maxie. The film fared well at the box-office but failed to achieve the milestones with other blockbusters of SRK have reached.

5/6

Yes Boss

Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla's 'Yes Boss' was a true entertainer in all possible ways. The heart-warming camaraderie between the lead actors and the Badshah of Bollywood's boyish charm were loved by all but despite all this, it failed to go down in the history as one of SRK's best performances in Bollywood.

6/6

Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa

The coming-of-age comedy film which starred Shah Rukh Khan alongside the likes of Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Deepak Tijori and Naseeruddin Shah was one of the game-changers in our birthday boy's life. He not only managed to grab all the attention but also proved his acting skills in this Kundan Shah directorial.
