Air India Presents Power Creator Awards 2025: Gulshan Grover reveals Anil Kapoor was his ‘acting school batchmate’, calls Boney Kapoor his ‘pillar of support’

Air India presents The Power Creator Awards 2025, backed by The Times of India, recently celebrated India’s most influential social media creators across diverse fields such as food, fashion, technology, beauty, and travel. Co-powered by Nothing and with Hilton as the official Hospitality Partner, the event marked a significant milestone in recognising the fresh, original content that is reshaping India’s digital landscape.

Anshula Kapoor wins Lifestyle Creator of the Year
One of the biggest winners was Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and sister of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor. She won the Lifestyle Creator of the Year Award for her unique mix of style, honesty, and charm in her posts.

The award was given to her by none other than Bollywood’s original ‘Bad Man’, Gulshan Grover. Known for his villain roles in films like ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Mohra’, and ‘Yes Boss’.

Grover shared a special story about his early days in Bollywood and the support he received from Anshula’s father, Boney Kapoor. He said, “When I came to Bombay to work in films, the pillar of support came from her legendary father, Boney Kapoor.”

He also revealed a close connection with Anshula’s uncle, Anil Kapoor, saying, “Anil Kapoor and I were acting school batchmates. And for years, strong support, including one of my early roles, one of my early break in film ‘Hum Paanch’ was by her father. I'm very happy and makes me feel emotional that I'm presenting this award to you, Anshula. All the very best.”


Winners at The Power Creator Awards 2025
The Power Creator Awards 2025 also honoured many other talented creators across different categories. Alakh Panday won the Power Educator Award – Popular Choice, while Aashna Shroff received the Power Beauty Creator Award – Jury Choice. Rahul Dua was recognised with the Power Stand-Up Comic Award – Jury Choice, and Samdish Bhatia took home the Power Podcast Creator Award – Jury Choice. These awards highlight how India’s social media creators are making a strong impact with their creativity and dedication.
