Agastya Nanda shares his experience of working with Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in Sriram Raghavan's 'Ikkis'

After making his big Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies', Agastya Nanda is all set with his second film. He will be seen in Sriram Raghavan's 'Ikkis' along with Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat.

In a recent chat with Film Companion, Agastya Nanda, who went to Pune for training, talked about getting ready for the role. Describing himself as a fan of the army lifestyle, with its discipline and integrity, he mentioned that having attended a boarding school gave him a taste of about 5% of what life in the army might be like.



Agastya emphasized that his admiration for the nation and the army has increased through his participation in the regiment. He expressed that the enthusiasm and dedication to do justice by them are at their peak. He genuinely aims not to let them down because their selfless contributions for us are truly admirable. It's a significant responsibility.




Reflecting on his time in the regiment, Agastya remembered a stern warning from an army officer not to mishandle the subject. He recounted the officer's advice, emphasizing the importance of not spoiling the portrayal of a revered hero. Agastya admitted that the encounter was more intense than he anticipated and shared the experience with his mother, finding humor in the situation.



Agastya Nanda mentioned feeling nervous about working alongside seasoned actors like Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat. He acknowledged that they are such seniors, especially when opposite Dharmendra, and interacting with him is a surreal moment. Agastya expressed his hope to learn a lot from these great actors and people. He recalled being warmly welcomed during Jaideep Ahlawat's look test and anticipated a positive and warm atmosphere on the set. Agastya stated that he would go on set to observe everything.

The biopic is based on the life of the youngest recipient of Param Vir Chakra, Arun Khetarpal.
