Aditya Roy Kapur’s films to look forward to in 2023

Aditya Roy Kapur is a versatile actor as proven by the various roles he has played, starting with London Dreams in 2009. He subsequently acted in several films including Action Replayy (2010), Guzaarish (2010), Aashiqui 2 (2013), Daawat-e-Ishq (2014), Fitoor (2016), Ok Jaanu (2017) and Kalank (2019). He rekindled his career with offbeat films like the action thriller Malang (2020) and the black comedy crime film Ludo (2020).

His breakthrough role and perhaps the iconic role that he is most well known for came in 2013 with the hit film, Aashiqui 2, which starred Shraddha Kapoor and featured the lilting romantic melody, Tum Hi Ho, by Arijit Singh. For this film, Aditya received lots of praise and recognition and won several awards including Best Actor in a Romantic Role.

He acted in the coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for which he won the award for Best Supporting Actor. The film had a star cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kalki Koechlin.

The Night Manager starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor and Sobhita Dhulipala, will be released on February 17, 2023. This is Aditya’s digital debut and his fans are really looking forward to seeing him in this new avatar. The Night Manager is written and directed by Sandeep Modi, with Priyanka Ghosh serving as co-director. The film is actually based on the acclaimed British spy series of the same name.

This is a crime thriller that is based on real events. Gumraah is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Thadam.’ Starring actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, it will be released on April 7 2023. In this film, Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen playing a double role for the first time and Mrunal Thakur will play a police officer. The movie is made by Murad Khetani’s Cine One Studios and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bollywood director Anurag Basu is all set to release his next directorial venture ‘Metro…In Dino’ this year on December 8, 2023.‘ Metro…In Dino’ draws its title from the popular song ‘In Dino’ from the 2007 movie ‘Life in a…Metro.’
