Actors who immortalised Kargil heroes with their on-screen roles

Sidharth delivered one of his career-best performances as Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, whose bravery and call sign "Shershaah" became legendary. His portrayal was heartfelt, gritty, and deeply emotional, earning both critical acclaim and massive love from audiences.

Before Shershaah, Abhishek Bachchan played Captain Vikram Batra in J.P. Dutta’s LOC: Kargil, which featured a large ensemble cast. His portrayal highlighted the same story, though in a more documentary-like, multi-narrative format.

Ajay Devgn played Major Pandey, a gallant officer posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra. His role was marked by intensity and depth, reflecting the officer’s fearless spirit.
