'Aashiqui 2' director Mohit Suri collaborates with Aditya Chopra's YRF for a young love story; film to go on floors later in 2024

Mohit Suri has reportedly collaborated with Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films for a young love story. The yet-to-be titled film is expected to go on floors later this year.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Mohit is set to team up with Yash Raj Films, spearheaded by Aditya Chopra, for an upcoming project—a youthful love story. This venture marks the debut production of the company's CEO, Akshaye Widhani. According to sources, the film, directed by Mohit Suri, promises to be a heartwarming young love story, catering to the youth audience. Mohit, known for his success in this genre, is expected to deliver another hit resonating with the sentiments of the country's younger audience.



The untitled film is scheduled to commence filming later in 2024. The team plans to unveil the cast, which will predominantly feature newcomers. Currently, most details about the project are being kept confidential.




Mohit directed the crime thriller 'Ek Villain Returns' in 2022, featuring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. This film served as a sequel to his 2014 project, 'Ek Villain.' In addition to his collaboration with Yash Raj Films, Mohit is also working on a film alongside Disha Patani, supported by Vishal Rana. The duo has been in discussions about this collaboration for some time, and now the pieces have fallen into place. The upcoming project, slated to begin filming in January 2024, will be a sleek action film, with a focus on Disha Patani leading the narrative in a female-centric action role.
