‘Bell Bottom’ box office Day 3 early estimate: Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor’s espionage thriller rakes in 3.75 crore

Akshay Kumar made a big move to release ‘Bell Bottom’ across theatres in India despite restrictions. On Saturday, the film recorded a small growth at the box office. According to Boxofficeindia.com, the movie may collect around 3.25 crore nett mark on Day 3. The film has reportedly registered a positive trend in Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Kolkata with collection also pouring in from Rajasthan, CI and Gujarat.A few circuits recorded a downward trend on Saturday, which includes UP too. ‘Bell Bottom’ has missed out from release in Maharashtra, losing business form massive circuits like Mumbai and Pune.
From Monday, ‘Bell Bottom’ is expected to get the advantage of night shows in Delhi and the benefit of no other competition could help increase its box office numbers.
Directed by Ranjit Tewari, Akshay Kumar essays the lead in this spy thriller in theis movie. Commenting on the risk of releasing ‘Bell Bottom’ amid several restrictions in India, Akshay had told PTI, “The pressure is there on everybody but I'm very sure that things are going to work out. There's a challenge, a risk. But if you haven't taken the risk in life, then what have you done? So we have gone with it. In this journey, I have my producers who have also taken the risk and that's how we have proceeded.” While taking about theatres being shut in Maharashtra, Akshay had added, “It is a gamble and someone had to take this gamble. We have taken this leap and I'm confident that this is going to work.”
‘Bell Bottom’ was entirely shot during the pandemic. The team had take off to Scotland and shot for the movie in a bio-bubble with their families. ‘Bell Bottom’ was previously scheduled to hit the screens in April but the pandemic restrictions led to the film getting postponed. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also features Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles.
