'Lagan Lagi Re': Malhar Thakar and Aarohi Patel shot in 45-degree heat, gave each other water between shots.
'Lagan Lagi Re' is all set to make this Valentine season feel very warm and soft. The real-life couple Aarohi and Tatsat are joining Malhar again after the magic of 'Aum Mangalam Singlem.' When director Sandeep Patel is behind the camera, people say he brings a special kind of loving feeling, and the same feeling is coming again with this new film.Malhar, Aarohi, and Tatsat sat together and shared many sweet, funny, and real stories in an interview with Divya Bhaskar.

Who plays what in 'Lagan Lagi Re'?

Tatsat said, “I am playing Sahil, who is a model-actor. For him, career is everything, and it will be interesting to see how this ambition brings ups and downs in his personal life.”Aarohi explained her character: “My character Kavya is very stubborn and believes in the universe. She feels whatever she manifests will happen. She is a little illusion-driven girl who tries to find ‘science’ in everything, and her stubbornness creates many messes in her life.”Malhar also spoke about his role: “Kartik is an innocent and honest boy who values relationships the most. He has a lot of humor in him, and he brings smiles to people’s faces with his fun nature.”

When father mode never turns off

This movie is very special for Aarohi because her father, Sandeep Patel, is the director. When asked if her father gets strict on set, Aarohi laughed loudly and said, “Too much! Even on set, his father mode is always ON. Even if someone else makes a mistake, the yelling still happens with my name! Even if I am not around, I still get scolded.”To make the scenes feel real, Aarohi said they did many workshops and rehearsals. Tatsat said, “Before shooting, I was scared thinking about how to understand the role, but slowly the dialogues started settling in my mind, and I began to blend into the character. With a director like Sandeep sir, it didn’t feel as difficult as I thought.”Malhar shared a funny line about Aarohi. He said, “When the three of us are together, we create too much chaos, but Aarohi is the biggest troublemaker. She eats our brains.”Aarohi laughed and replied, “These two team up and trouble me!”Thakar also remembered the hot summer days. He said, “We shot in 45-degree heat, giving each other water between shots. I will always remember that.”Tatsat got a bit emotional and said, “Our friendship started from 'Om Mangalam Singalem', and today, by the time we reached Lagan Lagi Re, our bond had turned into a family.”

Songs, love, and sweet family moments

The song 'Baby Bewafa' is trending a lot, Malhar said, “I listen to his songs a lot, but this was my first time working with him. When I met him on set, it didn’t feel like we were working together for the first time. He is very genuine and fun.” Tatsat added that the idea of the trending hook steps also came from Jigneshbhai.Aarohi and Tatsat also shared a cute moment about being a real-life couple. Aarohi said, “The shooting happened before our wedding, and now the release is happening. But yes, we were already sure about each other!” Malhar joked, “Earlier it felt like a set; now it feels like home for them.”Tatsat shared one last funny story about his in-laws. He said, “On set, Sandeep sir and Aarti ma’am were very professional. But the moment lunch or dinner break happened, suddenly their ‘jamai mode’ would turn on, and they would treat me like a son-in-law!”The movie is releasing on February 6, 2026, and the expectations are high.
