campus was buzzing with activity on Sunday morning as hundreds of Hyderabadis turned up to take part in a

10k run

.


Sporting colourful running gear, the 500-odd participants comprised of IT professionals, entrepreneurs, students, activists, teachers, health enthusiasts and even senior American diplomats.


After the run, the marathoners returned to the university campus and gathered at the cafeteria where they were served breakfast, which was followed by a discussion on the importance of running for a cause. “We’d love more participation from the youth in the city in such runs. Such events are not only about promoting a healthier lifestyle but also a social cause,” said

The run was organised by the US Consulate General Hyderabad to commemorate its tenth anniversary.
