The 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2023, organised by National School of Drama (NSD), Ministry of Culture, Govt of India, hosted three classic plays on the sixth day of the theatre festival in Delhi. NSD also conducted a Director's Meet session with the director of Ek Din Mandir Jawar Pathe, Devesh Chattopadhyay, director of Eranyan Samharam, Kalaimamani PK Sambandan and the director of Shakuntala, Prof Satyabrata Rout.

A famous Urdu & Hindi play Inder Sabha was staged at Kamani Auditorium. The play in its own musical and operatic way brought forth the notion that all are equal - be it a celestial king or a mortal - when one talks about harmony, peace and love. It was directed by Amit Saxena, an alumnus of NSD.




Vitton was directed by Arpita Ghosh, an eminent theatre director, actor and dramatist from the Bengali theatre scene. It is originally a creation of Bertolt Brecht, a noted German playwright, poet and dramatist. This classic play was staged at SRC Auditorium, Delhi.


A Marathi play, Shabdan Chi Rojnishi, was staged at the LTG Auditorium, Delhi. This masterpiece was directed by Atul Pethe, a documentary maker and producer who has been doing experimental theatre for the last 40 years. The play revolves around the diversity of languages.
