CCIC exhibition in Delhi

The Central Cottage Industries Corporation (CCIC) recently hosted an exhibition, Sarang, to showcase a new range of handicrafts and handlooms based on the theme of peacock.
FDCI designers Anju Modi and Rohit Bal also displayed their clothes here. The exhibition was inaugurated by CM Sheila Dikshit.
Rohit told us that it was a great co-incidence that it rained a day before the exhibition began.“I think it’s a very good omen. I was just making the final preparations for the exhibition and it started raining heavily.”
Anju didn’t want to get very literal, hence she stayed away from the typical peacock green colours. FDCI president Sunil Sethi told us, “This is the first step to showcase our designers at the cottage emporium. We’re also debating a pret line of handloom products.”
Another highlight of the evening was a lavish spread of chaat for the guests.
