Rebel Wilson, the Australian actress acclaimed for her role as Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect came into the wellness limelight after she declared 2020 as her “year of health”. She had been many times vocal about how she had been committed to her fitness routines and fans have accompanied the star on her journey.

“Thanks for all the love”

The Pitch Perfect star updated her fans by sharing two of her stunning photos, in a navy blue wrap dress, thanking her followers for their continuous support according to People magazine in August, 2020.The pictures act as a proof to her body transformation, showing a significant progress in her journey. The post followed the caption in which she wrote, “Thanks for all the love so far on my ‘Year of Health’ journey, when I was searching for the candies last night after dinner I thought to myself ‘hmmm, better not’ and had a bottle of water instead.” She embarked on this journey along with help of her trainer Jono Castono.Two months later, Wilson shared that she was about to hit her goal weight of 165 pounds.In November Wilson said to ET that she “had lost eight pounds in four days" from all the moving around and dancing involved in shooting her number while working on the movie Cats.

“It’s just about loving yourself”

“It’s not about being a certain size or body weight or anything, it’s just about loving yourself and loving the journey that you’re on.
And to me, the women I think are most beautiful are those who step into their own power”, this is what the Isn't it Romantic actor said to Australia’s Daily Telegraph in an interview in 2021.Although she was satisfied and positive about her new wellness focused journey, her frustration regarding all the attention focusing on her “appearance” made the actress annoyed as she mentioned in the interview.“In 2019, I had, like, four movies coming out, two which I produced and one, Jojo Rabbit, which got nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture,” she said. “Yet I get more press the following year when I do nothing except lose weight.”

“There’s no magic fix”

There’s no magic fix. I’d been on diets and I’ve been really good exercising pretty much my entire life,” Rebel told US weekly in 2024. “For me, it was the emotional element that I’d never looked at. I’d kind of been, like, ‘Emotions, ugh, I don't want to talk about things.”In 2024, the actor almost lost 60 pounds of her weight. During the release if her memoir, Rebel Rising, she revealed that she briefly tried Ozempic to lose weight.

"Having a bikini body"

Wilson’s journey has been beautiful, she has been always true to herself. On March 31, the actress shared a candid message about her body image to her Instagram Stories on March 31, 2026.Along with a photo of her baring her stomach in nothing but a sports bra and shorts, the star wrote, "I don't think I'll ever have a bikini body, that's just not me,” People reported.In the following slide, Wilson mentioned that she has been practising a changed lifestyle."I'm trying to get in my daily steps, do a Pilates class once or twice a week, some strength training when I can, eat as healthy as I can," she wrote.On May 5, the new mom shared the cutest picture of her second daughter Rose Estelle highlighting her new journey as a mom besides her wellness journey.
