From 'Tenet' to 'Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol': When Hollywood stars shot in Mumbai

Looks like Mumbai to has made a mark in Hollywood as ace filmmakers like Christopher Nolan, Danny Boyle and others have been shooting in the Island city. While Nolan is shooting for his upcoming film 'Tenet' in Mumbai along with the new Batman actor Robert Pattinson, we give you a glimpse of Hollywood films which have been shot in Mumbai.

Tenet

'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson is currently in Mumbai for the shoot of his upcoming thriller drama 'Tenet' which is helmed by renowned filmmaker Christopher Nolan. Pictures of the cast and crew have been making rounds on the internet as they film near the popular tourist location Gateway of India. The film also features Indian veteran actress Dimple Kapadia in a pivotal role.

Mission Impossible- Ghost Protocol

Tom Cruise's spy thriller 'Mission Impossible 4' which also featured our very own versatile actor Anil Kapoor was also shot in Mumbai. The film is the fourth instalment of the popular 'Mission Impossible' franchise and a few scenes of the film were also shot in Mumbai.

Slumdog Millionaire

Danny Boyle's Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' is a loose adaptation of the Vikas Swarup's novel 'Q & A' which revolves around a teenage boy who grows up in the slums of Mumbai. The film has been majorly shot in the slums of Mumbai and despite all the controversy, the Dev Patel starrer which also featured Anil Kapoor in a significant role won over the heart of the audience.

Million Dollar Arm

Craig Gillespie's 'Million Dollar Arm' is a biographical sports drama based on baseball. Some of the scenes featuring in the movie were partly shot in the backdrops of Mumbai. The film might have received mixed reviews but managed to showcase the story of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel on the celluloid.

Outsourced

The 2006 film which was helmed by John Jeffcoat was majorly shot in Mumbai. The plot of the film revolves around a foreigner who gets outsourced to India. The shooting of Josh Hamilton and Ayesha Dharker starrer went on for more than a month in Mumbai.
