Ben Affleck: Glad acting career didn't work out as a child

Hollywood star Ben Affleck has said he is glad his career as a child

The 44-year-old began his showbiz career way back in 1984, but didn't find success until he was older, reported Contactmusic.


Speaking on '

The Tonight Show

' with Jimmy Fallon, Affleck relived his past career as a child actor. "I did do some child acting," he said.

"Luckily I didn't end up on a show and get famous and go on crack and get crazy. I had a normal childhood. My mother let me go do this thing and then forced me to come home."

'. It was for kids. Educational, kind of. You're laughing, but it's not a joke! It combined science and math topics with an interesting adventure that a young man took with scientists," he said.

"I still feel like I have to pitch it! It was a lot of fun. We had a good time."

The series originally aired in 1984 and 30 years later it became available on iTunes.
