Popular singer Shreya Ghoshal’s famous Bhojpuri songs

Singer Shreya Ghoshal got into fame after her appearance on singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma’ at the age of sixteen. She has recorded songs for film and music albums in various Indian languages and has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema. Shreya made her debut to Bhojpuri industry through the song ‘Baitha Aa Gachhiyaa Ke Chaav’ from the movie ‘Bhaiyaa Hamaar’ in 2003. Since then she has sung many hit songs in Bhojpuri cinema.

Baitha Aa Gachhiyaa Ke Chaav

Shreya Ghoshal started her career in Bhojpuri cinema from the song ‘Bhaitha Aa Gachhiyaa Ke Chaav’ in 'Bhaiya Hamaar'. She sang her first Bhojpuri song with Vinod Rathod in 2003. The song features popular Bhojpuri star Manoj Tiwari. Apart from playback singing, Ghoshal has appeared as a judge on several television reality shows and she also appears in music videos. Now, she is known as one of the highest paid singers.

Jaan Se Badke

Shreya Ghoshal sang ‘Jaan Se Badke’ in ‘Sasura Bada Paisawala’ with popular singer Udit Narayan. The film, released in 2004, cost about Rs.30 lacs to make and was the highest grossing Bhojpuri film at that time. The story was based on a boy who falls in love with a rich girl and they decide to marry against opposition, leading to fighting and reconciliation. The movie was directed by Ajay Sinha, starring Manoj Tiwari and Rani Chatterjee as a lead character.

Panditji Batai Na Biyaah Kab Hoi

Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan's hit movie 'Panditji Batai Na Biyaah Kab Hoi’s title song has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Poornima and Anand Mohan. The movie is directed by Mohan Jee Prasad, featuring Nagma, Reeta Joshi and Ravi Kishan as lead characters. It was a romantic action movie. The film also has a sequel ‘Panditji Batai Na Biyaah Kab Hoi 2’ starring Ravi Kishan and Shinjini Kulkarni in the lead role.

Daroga Babu I Love You

‘Daroga Babu I Love You’ is the title song of hit Bhojpuri movie of the same name, starring Manoj Tiwari and Rinku Ghosh in the lead. It was sung by popular singer Shreya Ghoshal. She aspired to become a playback singer from an early age. At the age of four, she started learning music and at six she started into formal training in classical music. In 2017, Ghoshal became the first Indian singer to have her wax statue in Madame Tussauds museum.

The song ‘Payaliya Pyar Ke Dhun Mein Baaje’ from the movie 'Raja Thakur' has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal. It’s a complete family drama. She has sung songs in many different languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam.

Suna Suna

'Suna Suna' was sung by Shreya Ghoshal for hit Bhojpuri movie 'Deswa'. It was the first Bhojpuri film in 50 years to get selected in the Indian Panorama section of International Film Festival of India. The film is directed and written by Nitin Chandra and produced by Neetu Chandra. The film deals with contemporary issues affecting youths, featuring Ajay Kumar, Deepak Singh, Kranti Prakash Jha and Arti Puri. Along with Shreya Ghoshal, other famous singers like Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mika also gave their voice to the movie.
