Rajasthan-based Indo-western fusion band Swaraag was recently in Kolkata. The band from Jaipur performed at a gig in Kharagpur.
Swaraag has performed multiple times in Kolkata earlier. Talking about the city, founder Pratap Singh said, “It is usually said that you will find at least one musician at every house in the city. It is an amazing feeling to perform in front of a crowd that is musically trained.”
The music has recently won the runner-up position in a musical reality show. Besides Pratap, the band features Arif Khan (zitar player), Asif Khan (lead singer), Taurus Ali (saxophone),

(guitar), Arif Khan (khartal/morchang player), Sajid Khan (drummer) and Seif Ali Khan (tabla player). Along with the musical blending of modern instruments, the group of musicians brings forth the best of the traditional Rajasthani music.
