What's your new year resolution? Celebs list theirs

Rudranil Ghosh, who is currently shooting for Raj Chakrabarty's Kath Mundu, however, have made a strict resolution this year. "I am not going to lend ears to rumours and will not blindly go by what rumour-mongers say. I have decided, whatever I get to hear, I will verify them myself first and then react to them. Well, from Rudra's resolution, it sounds like he has had a couple of bitter experiences with scandal mongers.

"To make resolutions everyday and see if I can stick to them. New year resolutions seem a tad silly to me because the people who make them seem to think they have some sort of clue as to what the new year will be like, so that's just silly," said Mayookh Bhaumik. Well, we like Mayookh's short term goals. Maybe, we, those who make resolutions every year only to grow tired of them by the end of the first week, should learn a lesson or two from Mayookh's approach.

To make far better films and surely Shabor 2. And to be a better husband, a better father and a better friend," Arindam Sil was cryptic and straight-forward with his answer. But when it comes to being a father to a gorgeous teenager, it's never an easy task. So, when we asked him, how many wrinkles the 'worried father' role had given him in the past year, the super cool dad replied, "I am a proud father. Never worried. I have full faith in her. She knows how to face situations." Like father, like daughter, we say!

At first, Abir Chatterjee answered our query about his new year resolution with a very cheeky, "Not to make any resolutions this year." So we decided to give him some advice. Given the fact that his obsession with his mobile phone and constant fiddling with it on sets, actually led Aridam Sil to confiscate his mobile while shooting for Ebar Shabor, we suggested he could resolve to kick his phone addiction. But the actor promptly brushed our advice with an even cheekier, "the kind of addiction I see people around me indulging in, my phone addiction is a far better choice for me. so no question of paying any less attention to my phone." Note, directors.

"Most definitely the first list on the priority is kicking the cigarette habit. Enough of those. It doesn't deal with stress. I want to spend more time being happy with friends and family and push myself more as a filmmaker and worry less about the outcome. This year is for me time," said Mainak Bhaumik, whose Family Album is set to release next year. But what about the wedding bells that we heard were ringing? "I guess," he led us on! *Wink*

Raja Narayan Deb, too, has resolved to live a healthier life. "I don't really believe in New Year resolutions. You don't need a special day to resolve something. For example, I used to have a very sweet tooth. But seven years back, one day I decided to stop having sweets. And that was that. Not that I occassionaly do not have the mishti or the cake slice, but that's not going to take over my life again," he said. But he added that this year he plans to join the gym. "I really need to start gymming. I have been trying to get up in the morning for a long time, but have failed till now. My wife Zeenia is my partner in crime. She is supposed to wake me up and we are supposed to go together, but she never does. This year, I am determined. I have even found the gym I am planning to join. The only problem is, it's right next to a big sweets shop," he signed off with his characteristic laughter.
