This year, DJ Akash Rohira is celebrating Ganesh Puja in a different way keeping in mind the current situation in the city where a lady doctor of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has been brutally raped and murdered. “Every year Ganapati Puja is celebrated with great excitement and his arrival is awaited by all. This year we are celebrating Bappa’s home coming with enthusiasm but on a different note as each one of us is affected by the recent RG Kar incident. I have friends from all walks of life attending in full attendance for Bappa’s darshan and blessings. This year I have requested my friends not to get sweets for Lord Ganesha, instead they should sow a plant in their balcony, terrace or garden with a thought Bappa #wewantjustice. I am sure Bappa will listen, as he never disappoints any one,” said Akash.
