One of the highlights of the event was when little Saina Chatterjee, daughter of the late actor Abhishek Chatterjee, was called upon stage to receive an award to honour her father’s contribution to Bengali films and television serials.

And preparations for this day began months before. From what clothes to wear to who all will be invited, I used to look forward to it eagerly. Also, I loved collecting calendars that were given as gifts on Poila Boishakh.”
