Suranjan Dey
whose previous short film 'Unlucky Shirt' fetched accolades in international festival arena is all set to direct his first feature film titled 'Relationship'.
Giving a peak into the storyline, the director said, “Most of the people live in their minds. And the most important role in this mindfulness of life is 'relationship'. The stronger the bond, the more successful the human life because we can't live alone. But as globalization strikes us we are slowly evolving into one isolated island. The distance between close relatives and even members of the same family is increasing. And how this separation and distance between family members affect and influence others is one of the main themes of Relationship.”
The story, screenplay and dialogues of this slice-of-a-life drama are by Suranjan himself. It’s not only a tale of relationship but also has an interesting part of the narrative related to medical science. The cast includes Oshni Das,
Riddhiban Bandyopadhyay
, Banasree Dey, Dr. Bhanu Bhushan Khatua and the director Suranjan Dey himself. Some new faces like
Srija Maiti
, Biswajit Pal, Manimoy Sahu,
Rosie Piali Das
are also part of the film.
While Akashdev will be in charge of camera popular Santoor artist Pandit
Tarun Bhattacharya
is the music director and Madhupourna Ganguly will render one of the songs. The shooting will start later this month in and around Kolkata.
