Subhas Chandra Bose’s ‘disappearance’, especially Mukherjee Commission’s report, finally had its pre-Puja release on October 2.
It is quite natural, that Srijit’s intention to make a film on Bose met both applause and outcry. What was quite shocking, though, was the sheer intensity of it all. Lawsuits were threatened, campaigns were in motion both for and against the film, and even murky waters were treading.
Now, ‘Gumnaami’s release has churned up the festive fervor with an overwhelming response from both the audience and critics alike. The highly-anticipated film has sent the social media into a tizzy with not just movie buffs but big names from the film fraternity too going gaga over it.
