Raj Chakrabarty is all praise for Subhashree’s performance in his next

Raj Chakrabarty’s film Parineeta, which stars Subhashree Ganguly and Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead, is a love story with a difference. “Parineeta is a film close to my heart. We came across the story in Facebook and loved it. The subject is the hero and king of this film. The story too is relatable, as it is a story of a para where there is one Babaida, who is good in studies, is helpful, and very popular among girls.But in the end, we see that Babaida becomes a loner, as he spends his life looking after others,” said Raj.
When we asked Raj how was it directing his wife, Subhashree, in the film, he samiled and said, “Well, when I don the director’s hat, everyone on the sets is my cast and crew. And so was Subhashree. Personal relationships take a backseat on the sets. But I must admit that she exceled herself as an actress in this film. I, too, never imagined that Subhashree will act like this. The way she did her homework and took on the body language of a Class XII girl was amazing and the way she acted was just mind blowing! People generally have a conception that commercial heroines can’t act; they can only dance and be eye-candies. Let the trailer release on Rath Yatra, Thursday, and people will know why I am saying this,” Raj said, adding, “Of course, I don’t need to say Ritwick is a brilliant actor. In this film, he just nailed it. And so have Gaurav and Aadit.”
