We already know director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are coming up with their first Bollywood outing ‘Shastry Viruddh Shastry’, a Hindi remake of their 2017 hit Bengali film ‘Posto’.

While Mimi is set to reprise her role from the Bengali version, popular actor Shiv Pandit will take on the role Jisshu Sengupta played in the original film. It means we will see Mimi and Shiv as the married couple in ‘Shastry Viruddh Shastry’. Initially Amit Sadh was supposed to play Shiv’s role. However, due to date issues he had to leave the film.

Paresh Rawal is set to essay late Soumitra Chattopadhyay’s character, the child’s grandfather. There is a strong buzz that
Naseeruddin Shah might be seen in an important role in this Hindi version. Meanwhile, the child artiste is from Mumbai. The cast also includes seasoned actors like Neena Kulkarni, Amruta Subhash, Shiv Pandit and Manoj Joshi in key roles.
Meanwhile, Mimi has another Hindi OTT show in hand. According to reports, the web series, directed by Soumik Sen, also has Ali Fazal in the lead. Buzz is strong that Anirban Bhattacharya is also part of the show.
