Mimi Chakraborty is contesting the

Lok Sabha

elections from Jadavpur constituency on a TMC ticket. The actress has already started campaigning and has a busy Sunday today. The actress will be attending two political sabhas in Sonarpur and Baruipur and then there is a road campaign from 5 pm till 7 pm. “I have a busy day but I am loving every bit of it. All my focus is on the betterment of my constituency and I am working towards it. I am also learning with the help of everyone as this role is new to me. I am trying to balance my acting and political career with equal ease as both are important for me. My only mantra now is to serve people better. Earlier, my job was to entertain people through my acting and now I want to work for them, so that they don’t face any problem. My parents too are happy after the announcement and their only advice to me is — work for the people wholeheartedly,” said Mimi.
