Sil who is all set to direct a five-minute awareness film on the pandemic, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Nusrat Jahan and Parambrata Chatterjee, Paran Bandopadhyay, Subhashree and Rukmini Maitra. The profit from the project will go to daily wage earners and technicians of the industry.

Conceptualised by CM Mamata Banerjee, the script has been jointly written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and Arindam. There is a song, Jhor Theme Jaabe, which is penned by CM herself. Music is composed by Bickram Ghosh. The story is about an emotional journey of a young girl in the time of coronavirus outbreak.

Talking about the project, Arindam said, “I am aware of Prasoon Pandey’s film. And we are trying to pull off a similar project in Bengali. We have already spoken to the actors and they all have agreed. As we are under lockdown, I will guide everyone through video calls. The actors are supposed to shoot on their own. After we get all the video clips, Sanglap Bhomick will edit and turn it into a film. This is to create an awareness about coronavirus, where we tell people how to stay positive and overcome the situation.”
