Jaya Ahsan shares a new ‘Debi’ poster, Misir Ali intensifies the mystery

Ever since Jaya Ahsan’s first production ‘Debi’ was announced, it has intrigued the Bengali movie lovers, especially those who are a big fan of Bangladeshi writer Humayun Ahmed. The upcoming thriller in which Jaya also plays a key character of Ranu brings the iconic fictional character Misir Ali to the big screen for the first time. The interesting teaser and a series of posters from the film has already left the movie buffs in awe and now Jaya has shared another poster from ‘Debi’ in which Chanchal Chowdhury as the titular character Misir Ali looks every bit intriguing.

Initially the film, directed by Anam Biswas, was supposed to release on September 7 but later the release date was pushed back to October. The exact date hasn’t yet been revealed.
For the uninitiated, ‘Debi’ not only revolves around Misir Ali but also Ranu, a woman who often feels a paranormal existence around her and can even see the future. Her husband Anis reaches out to Misir Ali to treat the 'illness' and his psychological view and the mysterious history of Ranu unfolds an interesting look into her mind.
