Aneek Chaudhuri’s ‘Cactus’ trailer out now

After creating waves with his last film ‘White’, independent filmmaker Aneek Choudhuri is back again with another out-of-the-box concept. His next, a silent film titled ‘Cactus’, sees a woman playing Jesus Christ!
The makers have now released the official trailer and it looks every bit intriguing giving a sneak peek into the film’s middle-of-the-road subject and cinematic treatment.

‘Cactus’ has three segments depicting three eras – before Christ, during the period of Christ and the time following his death. The film will not feature the 12 disciples; instead Aneek wants to show them from several pieces of glass. Aneek has even utilised the Last Supper in a unique art form in his experimental film.
While Aparajita Dey plays the Christ here, see Anurupa Chakraborty and Aishani De will be seen as the two avatars of Mother Mary.
