Surprisingly, the censor board was rather a bit lenient in this case. Kaushik Ganguly’s ‘Bastushaap’ showed a passionate kissing scene between Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Raima Sen, yet the intimate scene escaped a cut from CBFC. The scene garnered a lot of attention from netizens, especially the trolls who attacked Raima for doing such a scene. Breaking stereotypes seemed to be a crime!

The leading pair finally did the scene and it captured the emotions beautifully onscreen leaving Dev fans swooning. The lip-lock scene from the romantic drama, inspired by Shakespeare’s epic 'Romeo And Juliet', didn't go well with Dev fans as they urged the actor not to say yes to such intimate scenes.
