Vellore Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: TVK’s M M Vinoth Kannan wins by 6,777 vote margin

In Vellore, M M Vinoth Kannan of TVK secured a victory, polling 73,032 votes and defeating DMK’s P Karthikeyan by a margin of 6,777 votes. AIADMK’s S R K Appu finished third with 45,458 votes, as the constituency went in favour of TVK.

In the Vellore assembly constituency of Tamil Nadu, TVK candidate M.M.Vinoth Kannan is currently leading with 71,668 votes, holding a margin of 6,285 over DMK's P.Karthikeyan, who has accumulated 65,383 votes so far. Counting is still under way, and no result has been declared yet in this seat.

Vellore's 2021 election was won with a margin of 9,181 votes. May 4 count will show whether the 2026 result produces a similar margin or a markedly different outcome.

S R K Appu, contesting on a All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam ticket, is one of 15 candidates whose votes are being tallied in Vellore May 4. As counting progresses, the round-wise figures will show how they have fared across the constituency.
