Balathandayutham.U (All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), Marimuthu.K (Communist Party of India), Vimala.A (Bahujan Samaj Party), Vinothini.R (Naam Tamilar Katchi), Arumugam.N (Tamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi), Pandiyan.S (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), Sivaprakasam.V (Independent), Muruganantham.V (Independent), and Jayasangar.A (Independent) — 9 candidates contesting from Thiruthuraipoondi in Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Thiruthuraipoondi is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency. In 2021, Marimuthu K of the Communist Party of India won by a margin of 30,068 votes. The 2016 winner was K.
