Sakthivel P. (Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi), Vimala R. (Naam Tamilar Katchi), Dr Kathirkamu K. (Amma Makkal Munnettra Kazagam), Sabari Iyngaran G. (Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam), Marisamy V. (Puthiya Tamilagam), Ranjeeth Kumar J. (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Abitha M. (Independent), Kumar S. (Independent), Sanmugavel K. (Independent), Selvaraj R. (Independent), Palanichamy T. (Independent), Mohanraj A.C. (P.T) (Independent), and Vairamuthu D. (Independent) — 13 candidates contesting from Periyakulam in Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Periyakulam is a Scheduled Caste (SC) reserved constituency. In 2021, K.S.Saravanakumaar of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won by a margin of 21,321 votes. The 2016 winner was K. Kathirkamu of the AIADMK. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Periyakulam in 2026.
