NTA recruitment 2026: Applications for CTO, CFO and GM-HR posts end today; check how to apply
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for multiple senior-level positions on a contractual basis, and the application deadline is ending today, May 31, 2026, at 5 PM.
The recruitment drive has been announced for the posts of Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and General Manager–Human Resources (GM-HR). Interested candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should submit their applications before the deadline, as applications received after the cut-off time will not be accepted.
NTA works under the Ministry of Education’s Department of Higher Education and is responsible for conducting several national-level entrance examinations for admission to leading higher education institutions across India.
The recruitment includes one vacancy each for the following posts:
All selected candidates will be posted at NTA headquarters in New Delhi.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
General Manager–Human Resources (GM-HR)
Eligible applicants can send their completed applications either through email at dir.admin@nta.ac.in, or by post within the application deadline specified by NTA.
The recruitment will be carried out on a contractual basis initially for three years. The contract may be extended later depending on organisational requirements and performance.

Eligibility criteria and experience
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
- Candidates applying for the CTO position should have a Master’s degree or diploma in Technology, Management, or an equivalent qualification from a reputed institution. Applicants must also have at least 15 years of post-qualification experience, including five years in a senior leadership role such as CTO, Chief Information Officer (CIO), or Head of Technology.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
- For the CFO post, candidates should hold qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), MBA in Finance, or a postgraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance. A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, audit, treasury, or accounts is required.
General Manager–Human Resources (GM-HR)
- Candidates applying for GM-HR should have a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or related fields along with at least 12 years of experience in human resources.
