Kerala DHSE postpones Plus One results to July 15 after Gulf exam rescheduling delays
Kerala DHSE postpones Plus One results date: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala, has postponed the declaration of the First-Year Higher Secondary Examination (Plus One) results. The results, which were scheduled to be announced on June 10, 2026, will now be published on July 15, 2026.
The revised schedule was communicated through a circular issued by the Office of the Director of General Education, Higher Secondary Section, Thiruvananthapuram. The notification was signed by Joint Director Dr K. Manickaraj and cited circumstances affecting examinations conducted outside India as the reason for the delay.
Delay linked to Gulf examination centres
According to the circular, additional time became necessary because of the prevailing war situation in the Middle East. The situation resulted in the relocation of examination centres in Gulf countries and affected the conduct of scheduled examinations.
As a consequence, certain examination sessions in Gulf centres had to be rescheduled. Officials stated that the completion of these examinations required adjustments to the overall assessment timeline, leading to the postponement of the result publication process.
Around four lakh students awaiting results
The revised announcement date affects approximately 4,00,000 students enrolled in Science, Commerce and Humanities streams across the state. Candidates have been awaiting the release of their scorecards following the completion of the examination process.
The main phase of the First-Year Higher Secondary Examinations was conducted from March 5 to March 27, 2026. However, pending examinations in Gulf centres have delayed the subsequent stages of evaluation and result preparation.
Evaluation process to conclude after pending examinations
DHSE officials indicated that answer scripts from Gulf examination centres must be integrated into the evaluation process before result tabulation can be finalised. The assessment, verification and compilation of marks will continue after the remaining examinations conclude.
The postponement follows an earlier announcement that had fixed June 10, 2026, as the result date. In the previous academic cycle, the Plus One examination results were declared on June 2, 2025.
Result access and post-result procedures
Students will be able to access their marks on July 15 using their Examination Registration Number and Date of Birth. The results will be made available through official government portals, KITE Kerala platforms, PRD Live, the Saphalam KITE mobile application and DigiLocker.
Under DHSE regulations, students must secure at least 35 per cent marks in each subject and in aggregate to qualify for promotion to Plus Two. After the declaration of results, applications for revaluation and answer sheet scrutiny will be accepted through the designated post-result window.
