Kerala Board DHSE Plus 2 result 2026: SAY exam, revaluation application process begins; check details here
The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala, has announced the Kerala Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) Plus Two result 2026 on May 26.
The results were declared by General Education Minister N Shamsudheen after the completion of the evaluation process for Class 12 students across Kerala and centres abroad.
This year, the results covered students from 2005 schools located in Kerala, Lakshadweep, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Around 4.25 lakh students appeared for the examination under the Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE).
In the regular higher secondary category, a total of 3,72,423 students appeared for the examination. Out of them, 2,09,398 students became eligible for higher education.
The overall pass percentage this year stood at 77.97 per cent, slightly higher than last year’s 77.81 per cent.
Students who were unable to pass one or more subjects in the Kerala Plus Two examination will be allowed to appear for the Save A Year (SAY) examination.
According to the board, students who registered for the March 2026 Higher Secondary Examination, including regular and compartmental candidates, can apply for the SAY examination to improve their grades and obtain D+ or above in failed subjects.
Regular second-year students who have already qualified for higher studies can also apply to improve marks in any one subject.
The application form for the SAY examination will not be available online. Students will have to collect the form from their respective schools and submit the filled application to the school principal.
The official notification regarding SAY and improvement examinations will be released through the HSE portal.
Last year, the Kerala KBPE SAY examinations were conducted from June 23 to June 27, and the results were announced on July 18.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for:
The board has informed that applications for revaluation, photocopy, and scrutiny will start from May 26, 2026 onwards.
However, revaluation and scrutiny will not be available for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics papers of the March 2026 examination.
After the revaluation process is completed, the updated marksheet issued by the board will be treated as the final result.
The detailed notification and application process will be available on the official HSE portal.
The board also informed that examinations in Gulf region centres were cancelled due to rising tensions in the conflict-hit region.
