DHSE Kerala plus two SAY, improvement exam registration 2026 begins: Here's how students can apply
The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Kerala has started the registration process for the Plus Two SAY (Save A Year) and Improvement Examination 2026 from June 1, 2026. Students who wish to apply can do so through their respective schools. The last date to submit applications is June 3, 2026. Authorities have advised students not to wait until the last moment to avoid delays and possible technical issues.
The SAY and improvement examination facility has been introduced for students who could not secure the minimum D+ qualifying grade in one or more subjects in the March examination. Along with this, the board has also opened the process for re-evaluation and scrutiny of answer sheets for eligible students.
The DHSE Kerala Plus Two SAY examination will be conducted from June 29 to July 3, 2026.
The results are expected to be announced in mid-July 2026, allowing students to continue their academic plans without a long wait.

This year, Kerala Plus Two results recorded an overall pass percentage of 77.97%, showing a slight increase compared to last year’s performance.
Out of 3,72,423 students who appeared for the examination, 2,90,398 students qualified for higher studies. A total of 30,561 students secured A+ grades in all subjects, reflecting strong overall performance.
Girls continued to perform better than boys, recording a pass percentage of 86.69%, compared to 68.41% among boys. Additionally, 60 students scored full marks of 1200 out of 1200.
Students planning to improve their scores or clear pending subjects are encouraged to complete registration on time and stay updated through their schools.

Students should complete the application process through their school by following these steps:
- Collect the SAY or improvement examination application form from your school.
- Fill in all required personal details carefully and enter the registration number used during the March examination.
- Enter the subject codes for the subjects selected for improvement or SAY examination.
- Paste a recent passport-size photograph in the space provided.
- Pay the application fee as per the official instructions.
- Submit the completed form to the school principal before the deadline of June 3, 2026.
