It''s still something we learned in school and got rid of eventually.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How is science popularised?</span><br /><br />My task is to increase curiosity and present articles which tell of the impact of science on the entire world.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How serious is global warming?</span><br /><br />Global warming is reality, not just science fiction. It''s been happening for over two centuries. The extending monsoon period and the recent heat waves in Europe are evidence of rising temperatures. The key is to make politicians sensitive to change government policy. Scientists present pure facts, environmentalists have a political agenda.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">How would you rate India''s technological breakthroughs?</span><br /><br />India has a long tradition of physics and mathematics. India is already becoming a technology giant. However, India needs good investment in pure science for a better tomorrow, something which Japan realised in the early 1990s. Let people go and think below a tree and come up with brilliant ideas! <br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">What do you feel about Kalam, a scientist as President?</span><br /><br />It''s fantastic. I set up an interview with him but he soon became President and got busy. He''s fascinating, specially his eagerness to interact with school kids and talk about a scientific vision.</div> </div>
