EAM S Jaishankar said the Indian government has taken the incidents of attacks on minorities seriously and communicated its concerns to Bangladesh authorities.

Congress wrote to election commission of India, raising concerns over 'grave inconsistencies' in Maharashtra's voter turnout data.
It said that there had been "arbitrary deletion of voters and subsequent addition of over 10,000 voters in each constituency from the final voter lists". The Congress in its letter to the EC also said that "questions relating to Maharashtra's voter data has also been raised by a former chief election commissioner." Read full story
India’s GDP has been estimated to grow by 5.4% in Q2 of financial year 2024-25.
This estimate is lower than the growth rate of 8.1% recorded in Q2 of FY 2023-24. Despite sluggish growth observed in Manufacturing (2.2%) and Mining & Quarrying (-0.1%) sectors in Q2 of FY 2024-25, real GVA in H1 (April-September) has recorded a growth rate of 6.2%. Read full story
Maharashtra government withdrew its earlier order granting an additional funding of Rs 10 crore to the Waqf board.
Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said that it was not it was not appropriate for the administration to issue a GR disbursing funds to the Waqf Board when a caretaker government was in place. He said that after a new government is formed the matter will be investigated. Read full story
