Visakhapatnam: Visakha Dairy plans to export its products to foreign nations soon, chairman Adari Tulasi Rao said.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Tulasi Rao said they are preparing an action plan for exporting dairy products. The chairman who has led the company for three decades said the firm's turnover increased from Rs 11 crore in 1986 to Rs 1100 crore with a profit of 1.66 crore. Milk procurement increased from 40,000 litres per day to 7 lakh litres per day during the same period.

Tulasi Rao said to maintain the quality of the milk collected from farmers, Visakha Dairy has set up milk cooling centres in every 10 km just like in European countries.

Visakha Dairy milk is available in not only Uttarandhra districts but also Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. The company sells five lakh liquid milk packs everyday, he said.
